I have built my career in technology in Silicon Valley. As a venture capitalist I focus especially on Internet-enabled consumer businesses, my operational background is in product and analytics at Google and my own startup. Some of my core interests include Internet of Things, Smart Machines, Digital Health and Emerging Markets.I was born and raised in Brazil, speak 3 languages natively and 2 others fluently, and have lived significantly in 5 different parts of the world. I have also cofounded and been leading a non-profit since 2000, we crowd-funded and built a high school lab, a library and a hospital in rural India currently serving 1,200 people per month.I have spoken more about my work in technology and in non-profit at 3 TEDxes (San Francisco, São Paulo, Vitória), at the Global Competitiveness Forum (Riyadh), and been selected as a young leader (Global Shaper) by the World Economic Forum (Davos). I live carbon-neutral, am a 70.3 Ironman finisher, a Boston Marathon Qualifier, have climbed Mt Kilimanjaro, and prone to general silliness.
